Forever a dreamer, Kara Marie has commanded the camera professionally for over a decade while successfully launching 3 photography brands. She has made it her life’s work to advocate female individualism and self-love through her career as a photography educator and the lead photographer at Kara Marie Studios where she specializes in natural beauty and fine art nude photography. With impactful black and white photographs as her medium of choice for her primary body of work, she has has celebrated thousands of extraordinary women over the years.

With the majority of her clientele also being small business owners, the clear demand for upgraded branding images was not lost on her. For years, it has been her dream to bring together a team of creative professionals to offer small businesses creative services that will help brands get noticed and grow, while also supporting local Austin, TX artists and giving them a strong foundation for success. In 2019, her dream came to fruition when Kara initiated the formation of Kara Marie Collective, signing on her studio manager, Joeli, as the first member of the team.

Beyond monochromatic, Kara Marie’s style can be defined as minimalist, clean, and enticing. She dreams in light and shadows and has a knack for photographing people. Outside of her professional life, she is a the mother of two boys, married to her high school boyfriend, and an avid traveler.
